Amazon releases Version 6.2.1, an Over-the-air Software Update for Kindle Fire

Amazon released version 6.2.1, a software update for its Kindle Fire tablet to fix several performance issues as well as to add couple of new features. A week before Amazon spokesman, Drew Herdener said that they are going to roll out an over-the-air update to Kindle Fire.

The update will enhance the touch navigation responsiveness and improve overall performance of the device.

With this update, users of Kindle Fire will be able to add a password lock on Wi-Fi access. It also gives users an option to choose which items display on the carousel.

Kindle Fire owners will get the update automatically.
