Asus and nVIDIA showcased 7-inch Tegra 3 Tablet with ICS at CES

At CES 2012 things gone crazy when Asus CEO Jonney Shih and nVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang stepped up on stage at nVIDIA’s press conference and teased a 7-inch unnamed ASUS tablet. This new tablet will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will be powered by a quad core Tegra 3 processor. The party doesn’t stop here  this cool monster will be available for just $249.

asus 7-inch tabletHuang stated that the processor actually has a fifth “ninja core” which allows it to do things in the background “sneaking around extremely quietly.” This in turn will reduce the usage of power which will improve battery life.

nVIDIA said that this tablet will come with 7 inch IPS display, industry best camera and 1GB of RAM.

asus 7-inch tabletThough other specs are unknown, one thing is for sure that Android 4.0 with super-fast Tegra 3 processor and an extremely attractive price will definitely create new records at the time of its arrival.

Yet their is no official confirmation about its release date.

Further more Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Haung announced that an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OTA update for its Transformer Prime will start rolling out today.
